For my next neutral I’ve picked OPI Tickle My France-y (La Collection de France, Fall 2008), a pinkish, beige-nude creme:

Picture taken in natural light.  This applied well, but the formula was not very pigmented so I needed three coats for opacity and evenness.  This leans too pink for it to be my mannequin hands shade, but I think it could be for someone with a cooler complexion.  I didn’t get this when the collection first came out, but I’m glad I picked it up eventually!  It’s a very pretty neutral shade.  I paired this with Barielle Make it a Latte on my toes.

I was planning to wear this polish this month anyway, but I felt it would be most timely now; I’ve gone and bruised my shin in an incident with my coffee table!  Rescue Beauty Lounge Bruised (Fall 2008) is a plummy raisin creme:

Picture taken in natural light.  This applied very well in two coats.  My description sounds like ingredients in a bread pudding but it’s what first came to mind when I saw it.  This rich, browned reddish-purple is very pretty and fall-like.  I find something so interesting about bruises, and this color somewhat reminds me of one of the tones I see in a fresh bruise.  I paired this with Color Club Gossip Column on my toes.

I’ve been wearing a lot of warm earth tones, so I wanted to try something cooler but still very fall-like.  Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal (Fall 2008) is a deep petrol creme:

Picture taken in sunlight.  The formula is so pigmented and smooth; it applied amazingly well in just one coat!  I just love when a polish goes on so effortlessly, even more when I only have to do a single coat.  I love this color.  I love teal in the first place, but this particular hue just looks so rich!  Perfectly deep but not too dark.  It’s truly a stunner.  I paired this with Essie Angora Cardi on my toes.

I’m wearing another purple today, but not pastel!  It’s just something I wanted to retry.  OPI Parlez-Vous OPI? (La Collection de France, Fall 2008) is a greyed, dark lilac creme:

Picture taken in sunlight.  This applied well in two coats (a welcome change after dealing with pastel formulas for a while).  I just love this type of color!  Purple looks good dusty, greyed-out, and moody.  I paired this with Barielle Putt-e On Me on my toes.

I’m back to wearing neutrals again.  I think it makes for a nice transition between winter and spring.  OPI You Don’t Know Jacques! (La Collection de France, Fall 2008) is a dark, greyed taupe creme:

Picture taken in sunlight.  This applied very well; the formula was smooth and creamy.  It looked fine at two coats but for full opacity I did three.  This is another one of those polishes that got the taupe trend going, and it’s one of my favorites.  I think it’s unique in comparison to the other taupe shades I own; this is darker and looks more grey (as opposed to brown).  I paired it with Orly Prince Charming on my toes.

It’s March now, but it’s still a bit cold, so I didn’t feel like wearing bright springlike colors just yet.  Right now I’m in the mood for those neutral, mushroomy sort of colors.  Sephora by OPI Metro Chic (Autumn and Eve, Fall 2008) is a purple-toned, greyish taupe creme:

Picture taken in sunlight.  It was a little thin and not super pigmented, so I used three coats to get it really opaque.  But it did apply well.  This is one of the polishes that got the taupe trend rolling.  I’m glad that now, most brands have some sort of variation of it, ’cause I like it very much. 🙂  I paired this with Barielle Get Mauve-ing on my toes.

We’ve been having some awful weather lately (and it’s not very ideal for picture taking, grr); it put me in the mood to wear a vampy shade.  OPI Eiffel for this Color (La Collection de France, Fall 2008) is a very dark plum shimmer:

Picture taken in natural light.  This applied fine in two coats.  When I look at my nails in the light, I can spot a few lighter spots, so this probably could’ve used a third coat, but I didn’t want to make the color darker than it already was.  It looks practically black and the shimmer is not apparent in low lighting.  Very vampy indeed.  I paired this with OPI Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not on my toes.

Normally, I’m not a fan of punny polish names but I don’t mind this as much, but only because it reminds me of this:

God, the Eiffel Tower is amazing.  I love when it sparkles at night.  I took this picture. 🙂

I realized that I’ve not yet worn a pink on my tips since I’ve started blogging!  This surprised me, ’cause I love pink. 🙂  Sally Hansen Torrid Bloom (Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen Salon, Fall 2008) is a deep pink creme:

Picture taken in natural light.  In real life the color looks more vibrant and a bit darker.  This applied wonderfully; the formula was very smooth and easy to work with.  It’s also very pigmented; I barely needed two coats.  True to its name, this color does remind me of flowers.  I paired this with Essie Lovie Dovie on my toes.

I’ve been sporting dark manis all month but I haven’t actually worn black on my tips yet!  Sephora by OPI Never Enough Shoes (Autumn and Eve, Fall 2008) is a black peppered with gold and silver microglitter:

Picture taken in sunlight.  This applied well, needing two coats to be fully opaque.  The glitter in this is very subtle, but I like the effect.  I also like that it contains both gold and silver glitter; it sets this apart from other black polishes with just silver glitter (although I do love those too!)  I paired this with OPI Brand New Skates on my toes.

I LOVE green!  I will be wearing it a LOT this month.  For my next holiday-themed mani I chose Barielle Date Night (Fall Affair, Fall 2008), a deep emerald-green shimmer:

Picture taken in natural light.  ZOMG, I love this polish.  It applied really well; the first coat gave good coverage but I did a second to cover up mistakes and make the color deeper and richer.  This color reminds me of luxe green velvet… I’m getting distracted as I type because I can’t stop staring at my nails!  I paired this with OPI Dear Santa on my toes (I’m feeling extra Christmas-y right now).
